The NerdQaxe++ 4.8T is designed for users who want substantially more hashrate than a single-chip Bitaxe while keeping power consumption, heat and noise at a level that is more manageable at home.

With a rated hashrate of 4.8 TH/s and 72W power consumption, it is suitable for:

It should not be treated as a guaranteed-income product. Mining results depend on network difficulty, Bitcoin price, pool rules, electricity cost and whether the miner is used for solo or pooled mining.

Actual wall-socket consumption may be slightly higher because the displayed board power does not always include power-supply conversion losses. Ambient temperature, fan speed, firmware settings and overclocking can also affect total consumption.

For an accurate operating-cost estimate, measure the miner with a wall power meter and multiply the monthly kWh consumption by your local electricity rate.

The product has a listed noise level of approximately 40dB, making it considerably easier to accommodate than a full-size industrial ASIC miner. However, it still uses active cooling and will be audible in a quiet room.

It may be suitable for an office, workshop or ventilated living area, but light sleepers may not want to place it beside a bed. Fan speed and perceived noise can increase in warm environments because the cooling system must work harder.

For stable operation, position the miner on a solid surface with unobstructed airflow. Do not place it inside a closed cabinet or directly beside another heat-producing device.

There is no single temperature that applies to every room or every unit. Temperature depends on ambient conditions, airflow, firmware settings, fan speed and heatsink installation.

Users should monitor both ASIC and voltage-regulator temperatures through the miner’s interface. Stable temperatures and a consistent hashrate are generally more important than trying to reach the lowest possible temperature.

If temperatures rise unexpectedly, rejected shares increase or the fan remains at maximum speed, check for blocked airflow, dust, fan problems or an excessively warm room. Avoid increasing frequency or voltage until the miner is stable at its original settings.

The 4.8T air-cooled version is a practical choice for buyers who want a balance between hashrate, power consumption, purchase cost and straightforward home operation. Air cooling also avoids the pump, radiator and tubing used by hydro-cooled systems.

A 6T or higher-performance version may submit more shares, but it can require more electrical and cooling capacity. A hydro-cooled model may reduce direct fan noise and manage heat more effectively, but it introduces additional components and installation considerations.

Choose the 4.8T version if you prefer a simpler, conservatively rated home miner. Choose a higher-hashrate or hydro model when increased performance or cooling capability is more important than initial cost and setup simplicity.
