Step-by-step guide:

1. Download Starminer APP from App Store or Google Play.
2. Open the APP and create an account / log in.
3. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone.
4. Power on your Bitaxe device.
5. Find the activation code card inside the package box — it contains a QR code and serial number.

After receiving the product, you will receive one of these activation codes. Scan the QR code to activate and bind your Starminer App.

You can scan the QR code or fill in the activation code to activate the machine.

6. In the APP, tap "Discover" or "Add Device".
7. Scan the QR code on the activation code card — the APP will automatically recognize your device.
8. If scanning fails, enter the serial number manually.
9. Tap "Bind", then enter your WiFi name and password.
10. Wait for connection — binding complete.

Our device is a deeply customized version based on the open-source Bitaxe Gamma 601 project. To deliver superior performance and a better user experience, our team has introduced major hardware and software upgrades. Starminer has exclusively developed a Remote Control APP, allowing you to manage your device anytime, anywhere.

Due to these significant, customized optimizations, the current Starminer 601 architecture is NOT compatible with the main open-source Bitaxe firmware. Flashing any firmware not officially released by Starminer will cause the device to malfunction immediately (brick).

To ensure your device runs smoothly, please do not attempt to flash the firmware on your own. We are continuously iterating our software, and select updates will be pushed automatically via the Starminer APP. Thank you for your understanding and continued support!

If you have accidentally flashed an incompatible firmware, follow these steps to recover your device:

1. Download the official firmware and flashing tool from our Firmware Update page.
2. Follow the detailed flashing guide in our firmware flashing blog post.
3. Use the Flash Download Tool to re‑flash the official StarMiner firmware (set address to 0 and use the correct COM port).
4. After successful flashing, the device will reboot and return to normal operation.

⚠️ Always ensure you use firmware and tools from official StarMiner sources to avoid future issues.
